Amoxy clav 375 contains two active ingredients:

Amoxicillin (250 mg): A penicillin-type antibiotic that works by preventing the formation of the bacterial cell wall, which is essential for the bacteria's survival, thus killing them.

Clavulanic Acid (125 mg): A beta-lactamase inhibitor that prevents bacteria from breaking down amoxicillin using an enzyme (beta-lactamase) they produce for resistance. This synergistic action broadens the antibiotic's spectrum of effectiveness.
